Controversy Section[edit]

To date, no credible application for the removal of the Paul Kruger statue has been launched, neither has petitions to do so from the South African heritage council been noted. Adding this section with weak and sensationalist newspaper articles unfortunately only confuses the information:

- Paul Kruger and his statue pre-dates Apartheid and British colonial rule of the area - The statue forms part of minority group's cultural heritage --Deanerasmus2006 (talk) 10:39, 22 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The section is already well sourced and covers the issue of controversy (including the paint throwing incident). Please explain why this well sourced section should be removed according to Wikipedia policy @Deanerasmus2006:. The C of E God Save the Queen! (talk) 11:25, 22 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Improvement Required[edit]

The Wikipedia page titled "Krugerstandbeeld" may assist the author to acquire additional information for the improvement of this page. The referencing for the English version should be broken down in more detail and not global as in the case with the Afrikaans version. If you can help with the translation, assistance will be gratefully received as I cannot speak Afrikaans. The C of E God Save the Queen! (talk) 13:06, 7 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Beginning my own inclusions. Much of the material from the 1954 work I added to sources is public domain since 2005.

Thank you very much for the translation @Tildemanana: though can I ask if it would be possible to bring the sources over from the Afrikaans Wikipedia please? It's just I'd hate to see this great translation get removed for being unsourced. The C of E God Save the Queen! (talk) 11:33, 25 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

It's the one I added in my new section "Sources" here. I still have more to add from it.Tildemanana (talk) 14:30, 25 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The last material has been translated in the intervening edits.

@Tildemanana: It's great but where are the inline citations? It'll only get removed unless they are included. The C of E God Save the Queen! (talk) 18:33, 1 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
