Lede[edit]

Not sure about the lede as it stands. It sounds like a piece of trade puffery, if you ask me, and not very encyclopaedic. Any comments? Fmph (talk) 12:59, 4 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Headteachers[edit]

"John Cole... had a deliberate policy of teaching his subject to every pupil". Utter nonsense. I suggest that this policy changed over the years or perhaps only he only taught the top stream? This certainly did not occur in the lower streams. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.113.173.169 (talk) 17:19, 2 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

That's what the sources say. Can you find another printed or online source that provides an alternative view? We have to rely on sources not on personal experiences. Dahliarose (talk) 09:33, 4 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I've just cut this as overly detailed and not notable info, but somewhere along the line it changed to " had a deliberate policy of teaching every pupil in their first year", rather than "teaching his subject". Without seeing the source, not sure which is correct. Tacyarg (talk) 20:28, 1 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
