the citation "Muirhead, Marina, Crawley Rachael. Violent Patient Scheme Handbook" does not exist, the linked page is missing... other notes on this scheme, it seems that some practices have been accused of using the scheme to lock patients into their patient lists in order to invoice the Government for the so called healthcare, many practices providing this scheme have only premium numbers to contact & very little experience in providing healthcare but are fast to accuse patients of wrong-doing, I have also found that some patients accuse the NHS of putting them on this scheme for just reporting that they were abused as a child. This is certainly the murky end of the NHS & many evil people are clearly getting rich from the practice of blacklisting patients into lifetime contracts with GPs who are often way too far to provide healthcare and even GPs who will lie to punish the patients. 92.17.165.177 (talk) 21:40, 23 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Looks like it's been removed from the internet. It is however present on archive.com (https://web.archive.org/web/20220206190602/https://www.england.nhs.uk/south/wp-content/uploads/sites/6/2016/07/violent-patients-scheme-hndbk.pdf)
I would not be surprised if prejudice and poor care were a feature of the scheme, or that inappropriate referral occurred. One of my hopes in creating this page was to reduce the likelihood of inappropriate referral. If there is discussion of these failings in reliable sources like newspapers we could include this here.
We discuss the appeal process here, that might go some way to avoid inappropriate or abusive use of the scheme. Unfortunately appeals need to be made quite quickly. Talpedia 23:23, 23 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
