Untitled[edit]

This page is either directly copied word-for-word from here:

http://daggerandcloak.blogspot.com/2007/06/ussr-border-troops.html

or else that link is copied word-for-word from wikipedia. In either case - someone is copying from someone and something needs to be done about it. I leave it up to the "administrators" capable hands. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.178.89.179 (talk) 09:45, 23 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It has been copied from the wiki article. I recognize two sentences that I wrote for the wiki word for word. Rocketjager (talk) 02:33, 25 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Obviously enough - the blogspot article is dated June 2007, while if you view the history of the Wikipedia article, you'll see that the similar text is much older. Vmenkov (talk) 03:01, 25 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Conscription[edit]

Are the border troops still conscripted in Russia?

For sure. As are all other military bodies as far as I know. Ukrained (talk) 23:14, 21 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Brandenburgers[edit]

I was bold enough:) to remove the sentence that sit tagged for 5 years:

A distinct problem in the first days of the war were German Brandenburger Regiment commandos. They had obtained NKVD Border Troops uniforms and led many infiltration missions across the Red Army lines to inflict subversion.[citation needed]

The unreferenced parts here are distinct problem and many. That's where the relevance issue is as well. Ukrained (talk) 23:14, 21 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
