@Walter Görlitz: I changed it to tracklist from track listing because there is a redirect from template:tracklist to template:track listing. Using tracklist saves 4 bytes in the article every time it's used. There are hundreds of articles which use tracklist instead of track listing and it works very well. We don't force linking to redirects intentionally. Walter Görlitz (talk) 17:04, 18 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Why not? If that's the case why hasn't the redirecting template been deleted, what is its purpose? However, if you insist I won't make any more similar edits. Jodosma(talk) 17:56, 18 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
If a link is pointed to a redirect, we don't need to intentionally move it to the correct destination (WP:NOTBROKEN). However, we also don't intentionally point a correct link to redirect just because it redirects to the correct location. Start at MOS:LINK. Walter Görlitz (talk) 18:12, 18 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I think you're misreading it. What the former encourages is that if a link to a redirect exists, that one should not change it. It does not encourage forcing links to redirects because they exist. Walter Görlitz (talk) 19:30, 18 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Great. I was coming to say that there is a bot that comes by and cleans these up, and it automatically bypasses redirects, but usually only does so it the heading it also "tracklist". Walter Görlitz (talk) 19:47, 18 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
