Merge proposal[edit]
Guidelines at Wikipedia:WikiProject UK geography/How to write about settlements state that ideally the civil parish (South Stoke) should be the catch-all article, avoiding single line articles on every village and landmark within the parish.
Therefore, I suggest villages within the parish (Offham, West Sussex ) to be merged and redirected to South Stoke. ++ MortimerCat (talk) 00:36, 23 March 2009 (UTC)

Wording of this paragraph[edit]
- "Human population here reverted to medieval levels after 1806 when common land was enclosed to make Arundel Park, depriving unlanded villagers of sheep-grazing land. Some of this was returned to woodland after a few centuries of being used as pasture."
Only two centuries have elapsed since 1806. Surely the length of time used in the second sentence should be expressed in decades rather than in centuries. --Oldontarian (talk) 15:33, 23 February 2020 (UTC)
