Hi all! I was visiting this page and saw a few grammatical errors that I thought I would edit, but as I invested more time I became confused. I was hoping someone that’s worked on this page before could help decipher the distinction between Richard Furman being the first president and then his successor, Jonhson, being the first president of the Southern Baptist Convention. I made the edit, but I want to make sure that what the sentence stating, “Richard Furman was elected as the first president and William Bullein Johnson was elected as the first vice-president of the SCBC.
