Is this just another name for proprietary software?[edit]

How is this different from, for example, proprietary software? Is "Software as a product" just a shiny new term invented as a retronym to explain Good Old-Fashioned commercial software to people familiar with "Software as a service"? If so, then a Google Ngram comparison of "proprietary software", "commercial software", "software as a product", and "program product" finds a lot more use of "proprietary software", "commercial software", and even IBM's "program product" than "software as a product", so maybe this should just be merged into some other page?
