Contested deletion[edit]

This page should not be speedy deleted because I was simply trying to add more information about the Society of St James, all of which is factually accurate. It's my first time editing Wikipedia and don't understand why it's been flagged for speedy deletion?! Societyofstjames (talk) 13:35, 15 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Don't worry, the editor who proposed deletion changed his mind very quickly. - Fayenatic (talk) 13:47, 15 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

St James' Church Hall[edit]

I have deleted the hyperlink to St James Church, Shirley. The St James Church Hall referred to in the publicity giving the history of the Society of St James is surely the Church Hall of the former (Anglican) St James Church, Bernard Steet (now the Greek Orthodox Church of St Nicholas), as to the best of my knowledge the Society of St James has always been based in the City Centre of Southampton. If there is in fact a link to St James Church in the suburb of Shirley, then a reference needs to be provided. Conversely, if the Church Hall was the hall in Bernard Street (?) then a citation would be useful. Ntmr (talk) 12:46, 14 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
