Plot oversight[edit]

"He visits the blind woman, Chloe Williams ..." What blind woman? If you've seen the film, you already know; but this summary should work for a complete newcomer too. CapnZapp (talk) 08:54, 8 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

"Martin is about to smother her" Smothering who? Chloe? The daughter? The teacher? (What teacher?) CapnZapp (talk) 08:57, 8 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

"Khilona"[edit]

The other Indian remakes of this film all check out, but I have no clue about the film called "Khilona" which is mentioned in the notes as being a remake. I searched for any film that would fit this description, and the only film called Khilona I was able to find had absolutely nothing to do with either Sleeping with the Enemy or the two actors which is is stated to have featured (Meera and Shaan). I'm not sure why this is included in the list of remakes, because it seems to be entirely made up. I just wanted to get a second opinion before deleted that line. Requested move (abandoned)[edit]

No need for the specificity, there is no other film of this name. That Ole Cheesy Dude (Talk to the hand!) 13:58, 12 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not 100% clear on what you're suggesting. Sleeping with the Enemy is currently a disambiguation page with five separate entries, including this film and the novel on which it is based. If we move this article to Sleeping with the Enemy, what do you suggest be done with the disambiguation page and the novel page? Big Bird (talkcontribs) 15:02, 12 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Oops, meant it as (film), but neglected to add it. Changed now. That Ole Cheesy Dude (Talk to the hand!) 16:37, 12 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I agreed with this RM as originally proposed (to move Sleeping with the Enemy (1991 film) to Sleeping with the Enemy and had a Support comment ready to go when the RM was retracted by the previous nom because they had meant moving Sleeping with the Enemy (1991 film) to Sleeping with the Enemy (film) and apparently realized they could just do that manually, and did. So, I created a new RM request below accordingly. --Born2cycle (talk) 17:12, 12 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

– This use of "Sleeping with the Enemy" is the primary topic and therefore should be at the base name.

Per WP:How2title: 1 (start), 3 - one obvious name - "Sleeping with the Enemy"), 4 (obvious name is ambiguous), and 9. This use is the primary topic for "Sleeping with the Enemy" as shown by the page view stats below.

Of course, this means the dab page currently at Sleeping with the Enemy needs to be moved to Sleeping with the Enemy (disambiguation). I also suggest an "otheruses" hatnote at the top of the article linking to the article about the novel and to the dab page. Born2cycle (talk) 17:08, 12 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Page view stats for June 2011[edit]

Note that the total views for all of June is about 14,500, and the film has 12,000, or 83% of those, thus clearly meeting the primary topic criteria - "much more likely than any other, and more likely than all the others combined - to be the subject being sought when a reader enters 'sleeping with the enemy' in the Search box". If there is any concern about the educational value of knowing that this film is based on the novel, that should be alleviated by the fact that it is clearly stated in the second sentence of the introduction - "The film is based on Nancy Price's 1987 novel of the same name".

  • I support this proposal. I initially thought that's what might have been intended by the nominator of the previous proposal and wanted to get his clarified statement but now it seems as though his intention was otherwise. This proposal makes sense and is likely in the best interest of the readers of Wikipedia. Big Bird (talkcontribs) 18:01, 12 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support: Almost an order of magnitude more traffic. –CWenger (^@) 18:35, 12 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support, yes, this seems better. That Ole Cheesy Dude (Talk to the hand!) 19:17, 12 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
