This page should still be title: Col. Sir Robert Munro, That was his title. there was more than one Sir Robert Munro but htis one was 'the Colnel'.

Rummage from "Legacy" chapter[edit]

Me (Tomdo08 (talk) 23:09, 24 September 2010 (UTC)) removed the following paragraph from chapter Legacy:[reply]

This multiple blow was felt most severely by the family and the clan. One veteran soldier, who was, in fact, a Munro and had fought at the Battle of Dettington, Battle of Fontenoy, Battle of Culloden, Battle of Quebec and several other famous battles used to lament: "Ochon, ochon, had his ain folk been there!", referring to the fact that the men Robert commanded at Falkirk were English and not his own men from the 42nd Highlanders.<ref>"History of the Munros of Fowlis". By Alexander Mackenzie. P. 136 - 137. Published in 1898.</ref>

"This multiple blow was felt most severely by the family and the clan.":

"This multiple blow" probably means the aforementioned death of Robert and his brother.
It might be interesting.
It is of no use without further specification

The part about the veteran soldier:

Which of the several Battle of Quebec is meant? Maybe 1759? Or 1760?
It does not appear to be very interesting. Maybe there were some special english circumstances to Rober's death?
"and had fought at the Battle of Dettington, Battle of Fontenoy, Battle of Culloden, Battle of Quebec and several other famous battles" seems to be completely irrelevant here.
