Lady Elizabeth Germain was daughter of Charles Berkeley, 2nd Earl of Berkeley, by his wife Elizabeth Noel, daughter of Baptist Noel, 3rd Viscount Campden. Lord George Sackville, her heir, was son of Lionel Cranfield Sackville, 1st Duke of Dorset, son of Charles Sackville, 6th Earl of Dorset, by his wife Mary Compton, daughter of James Compton, 3rd Earl of Northampton, by his wife Mary Noel, daughter of the 3rd Viscount Campden.
