Improving the Alumni Section

If seek to improve this page further, please add famous alumni. Please use the current format in place. Also make sure you include a photo of the alumni. Make sure the name of the Sigma Pi Alumni is name so it will link to his wikipedia page, if he has one.

Once the famous alumni section on this page has gotten larger, one should request a larger page. On May 16, 2012, wikipedia recognized that Sigma Pi Famous Alumni is a good candidate for its own page; however, it was not large enough at that time to require its own page.

When adding new alumni, provide a link to an article or page providing information on the alumnus, and then run the name through the Sigma Pi Directory, if available to you (accessible through Sigma Pi website).

Improving The Sigma Pi Chapters

Another task that needs to be done (and may or may not be completed by the time I am done editing the page) is the additional of all Sigma Pi chapters, both active and inactive. Another section should be added that lists all the alumni clubs. They are chapters of Sigma Pi.

Other Notes

Other than that the page is complete except for small editing and grammatical errors, which I am trying to weed out. The process is on-going.

Userbox

I created a new Userbox for any Wikipedians who want to say that they are Sigma Pi's: Template:User_Sigma_Pi. Just add {{User Sigma Pi}} to your user page. -Otto42 16:46, 12 July 2007 (UTC)

Example:

ΣΠThis user is a member of Sigma Pi Fraternity.

Edit Proposals

I have three proposals. I am thinking about giving the Sigma Pi Educational Foundation its own section on this page instead of it being a subsection. I think the fraternity's history from 1910 to the present needs to be expanded on, the 1996 Summer edition of the Emerald would be a good place to start. Also, I think the notable alumni section needs to be reorganized. I propose different sections for national governments, state/provincial governments, military, science, sports, business, journalism, and entertainment. Please let me know what you think. -Gooseneck41 14:58, 12 May 2016 (UTC)
