MCU Teenager?[edit]

King T’Challa’s 16-year-old sister Shuri (the wonderful Letitia Wright)

I noticed this and a few other articles that claim Shuri is a teenager, but I found this claim difficult to believe. Even though in the film one character dismisses her as a child, I didn't think to take the comment literally either. Letitia Wright is in her twenties and could be playing younger than her real age but I interpreted the comment more generally to refer to her attitude and youthful enthusiasm. No matter what her actual age she will always be the littler sister to T'Challa.
Have the filmmakers actually said the character is a teenager? Perhaps it is in the publicity material but as far as I remember the film itself doesn't specify. If we can confirm that she is supposed to be a teenager that would be an important detail worth adding to her character description. -- 109.78.248.153 (talk) 07:06, 8 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed merge[edit]

@IronManCap, Jhenderson777, (a)nnihilation97, and Facu-el Millo: (pinging project participants), User:Robert McClenon has proposed to merge Draft:Shuri (Marvel Cinematic Universe) into this article. I am initiating a discussion of this proposal here.

I oppose this proposal on the grounds that substantial reliable sources exist to support a separate article, that MCU characters are a separate series and have been established as such by consensus in previous discussions, and that this character has unique and distinct character history and story arc from the comic book character, and contains well-sourced details that are beyond the scope of the comic book character article regarding the actor's approach to the role and and reception of their performance as an actor.
