Shri vasantrao naik government medical college was established in 1989. It holds the courses for Bachlelors degree in medicine and masters degree in courses of Medicine, Surgery, obstretics and gynaecology, Paediatrics, Ophthalmology, Otorhinolaryngology, Forensic medicine, Pathology, Microbiology, Anatomy, Physiology.

         Hospital is constructe in an area of 5,13,969 sq metres. It is a 288 bedded hospital complex with 12 operation theatres. It has a large, well constructed out patient department. It has 24 hour casualty services. Other services includes Blood Bank, CT scan, Ultrasonography. It has an old TB isolation ward and isolation ward for other infective diseases.
         Total bed strenght including old civil building is 584. Total intake is 100 for bachelors degree. Admissions are based on a merit list basis conducted through MHTCET and AIPMT.
         Hostel facilities are available for both postgraduates and undergraduates. College have exquisite staff with good experience.
