Schools Assessment[edit]

Main priority is references to get you a "B". Reffed alumni might get you a "mid" as you have over ninety years of history. More pictures would be good but you have made a good start. Need to keep this one on the "radar" as it should show good progress. Victuallers 11:46, 8 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

As Victuallers said, needs references, has plenty of content for B or GA but it must be cited Adam McCormick 01:14, 7 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

In 1988 the school made the decision to become co-educational; the first girls were enrolled in September 1988.

mission statement[edit]

The school article guidelines include mission statements in the list of items not to include. See WP:MISSION, an essay on the subject. I see no reason why this school should be an exception to the general approach. Their mission statement, "Shawnigan Lake School leads young people in the pursuit of personal excellence through the challenges of a well-rounded education", does not distinguish them from any other school. It is a promotional claim. It might be said that it distinguishes them from school that don't seek to lead their students to excellence or those that intentionally provide a poorly rounded education. While those schools do exist you wouldn't know it from their mission statements. I've again removed the mission statement from the lead. Gab4gab (talk) 17:56, 10 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
