Move title name to Shane and merge current history[edit]

Oppose, the movie is an iconic cultural reference and among the most quoted of all time. I'm not a fan of the movie—I've never even seen the movie—and I can't hear or read "Shane" without thinking "Come Back!". Xtifr _tälk 01:48, 12 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Shayne[edit]

I created a redlink from Shayne to here. If someone wants to create a separate disambiguation page for Shayne, just use that name, replacing the redirect with text (you can get there by clicking on the link here, then clicking on it in the "redirected from" line that appears just below the article name when you do so. No need to create an article named "Shayne (disambiguation)", just replace the redirect instead. No, but that makes almost no difference whatsoever, anyway. Anybody who links to Shane or puts it in the "Go" box gets here already. Why do you think it is so important not to have that word "disambiguation" at the top once they get here? It cannot create any confusion; it might possibly make it clearer why there is just a list of links on this page.

You can either populate this disamb page with more "Shayne" entries, or create a separate, cross-linked dab page. But doing so doesn't depend on your requested move going through.. Gene Nygaard 00:14, 14 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
