labour relations[edit]

The article needs a section on Servisair's somewhat unusual labour relations practices. At present the company has locked out staff at Vancouver International Airport, and last year there was a lockout at Halifax. I can't figure out why the company is locking out its unionized workers (since in general lockouts are pretty rare, certainly less common than strikes). The article in the Globe and Mail [1] doesn't explain why the company took this measure, and obviously the union web sites [2][3] are not objective. I couldn't find anything about it on the company's own web site (servisair.com). Mathew5000 (talk) 06:20, 4 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
