History Correction[edit]

It is erroneously reported that the first phone holding rod did not appear in the US until 2011. Quik Pod launched in the US market in 2006, it was designed for cell phones and point & shoot cameras.

Incorrect: Phone-holding rods have been available in the United States since at least 2011, with an iStabilizer-branded monopod going on sale in 2012.[10]

Correct: Phone-holding rods have been available in the United States since at least 2006, with a Quik Pod branded monopod going on sale in 2006.
