because i'm just editing it now, and adding all the sources, as well as information. This band has just had it's previous wikipedia page deleted, adn so I am trying to make a new one. Please don't delete it?

Check out WP:BAND. I am afraid that your band does not meet notability guidelines for inclusion on Wikipedia. In looking at the Billboard web site I am unable to find supporting references that show this band's album has charted, they are on their first album, they have not won any major awards or contests, and I cannot find anything more than trivial coverage in internet sources. I did not nominate lightly and looked for sources to back this article up, but could not find any that asserted notability. EricSerge (talk) 21:30, 4 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
sorry, I'm all new to this and I'm having a bit of difficulty in replying to your previous message back.

So, as long as I find more sources and add more information (which I am currently in the process of doing, just saving as I go along. I literally haven't had chance to add half the information and sources because I'm trying to stop it from being deleted.) it should be okay? I'm trying to fit the Notability Guidelines but doing so bit by bit. I'm sorry, but the band has only released one album, unless you want me to put false information on their Wikipedia page (that is if it doesn't get deleted), there's nothing I can do about that. I'm sorry, I know about the Notability guidelines, as I am reading them as I go along, but surely you can't stop a band from having a Wikipedia page, just because they've only got one album out? They're due to release another start of next year (2013).

My concern is that there is false information in the article already, since I cannot find anything to back up the statements about Billboard charting. As soon as they meet notability guidelines, then they can be included, but they have to be notable first. EricSerge (talk) 21:59, 4 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The information provided is the best to the ability of the writer and sourced as accurately as possible.

Sure it is sourced to the best ability to the writer, but that doesn't mean it meets the notability guidelines. That's the issue. Intensity254 (talk) 21:59, 4 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Under the guidelines it says the band would require to meet at least one of the guidelines,

'4. Has received non-trivial coverage in independent reliable sources of an international concert tour, or a national concert tour in at least one sovereign country'

Does the 'Scream it like you mean it' tour count, as it has it's own Wikipedia page that mentions Secrets on it?

Not trying to be a pain or find loopholes, but unfair deletion is a bit of a pet peeve. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 46.208.35.89 (talk) 21:33, 5 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not too fond of how you've worded your comment here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Secrets_(post-hardcore_band) actually. Maybe if you got off my back and allowed me to search for the sources, and the right information, without being threatened of page deletion every time I save the page, I might have gained just a tad bit more motivation in order to reach your seemingly high standards. I wasn't too keen on the idea of spending an hour or more making the page completely flawless with grammar, and formally written, when I had a deletion notice stuck on the page. I also agree with the person who's commented ahead of me. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Blindsided97 (talkcontribs) 21:53, 5 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
