FM 3005 & Seawall Blvd.[edit]

FM 3005 officially ends/begins at 61st street. I'll find sourcing for that. The FM 3005 article, as currently worded, is also incorrect. Seawall is a county-owned road between Hwy 87 and 61st. --Nsaum75 (talk) 19:03, 5 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Really? I wasn't aware. Thanks! --Mcorazao (talk) 22:18, 5 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
[1] UR 3005: From SS 342 in Galveston, southwestward to San Luis Pass Toll Bridge, a distance of approx. 22.003 miles. (Galveston County) New designation. <-- FM 3005 designation.
SS 342 is 61st street. The "FM" moniker used in the Houston area is technically incorrect. In 1995 TxDOT internally renamed all "Farm-to-Market" (FM) roads in urban areas to "Urban Road" (UR) ex: [2]. Their reasoning was that the names were outdated (ie: there hasn't been a farm on FM 1960 in decades) -- However as to not confuse the general public, the signage wasn't changed. --Nsaum75 (talk) 02:58, 6 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
