Scotty[edit]

Scotty 2 Hotty Was Not Changed To Raw. It Just Said He's Back On Heat Not Raw! So I Deleted Where It Said He Was Traded. 68.57.47.90 11:34, 15 February 2007 (UTC)User:Kari2MuchFan[reply]

Well his WWE profile is now on the RAW roster. though i would like some sorta confirmation -- Paulley
Heat is a show on the Raw Brand. To appear, he had to be "traded" for a while. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 74.195.235.74 (talk) 01:45, 24 February 2007 (UTC).[reply]
he appeared twice on sunday night heat, once in a tag match with jim duggan, and again in a singles match. Hollywoodd 21:05, 24 July 2008 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kperfekt722 (talkcontribs)

use of "wiggers" in article[edit]

I don't have a problem with the term, but I know a lot of people do, so I'm left wondering if it's appropriate for the article. 69.213.87.103 07:39, 10 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It should definitely be removed. You're basically saying his gimmick is a "white nigger".

Date of Birth[edit]

You have two different date of births in this article, which is the right one? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 172.188.85.223 (talk) 12:04, 15 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

date of birth[edit]

SCOTTY 2 HOTTY's date of birth is not ethier one of the two listed here. his real birthday is July 2. i got it from the July 2007 edition of WWE MAGAZINE. —Preceding unsigned comment added by WWEFAN99 (talkcontribs) 00:09, 15 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

real age[edit]

according to his official myspace (http://www.myspace.com/scotty2hottyworm) he is 36 years old, which means he was born in 1973. i think his own myspace is a better source than owow so i would change his DOB zu july 2nd 1973. --77.186.9.191 (talk) 14:45, 10 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Resolved

Move to "Scotty 2 Hotty"? RandySavageFTW (talk) 03:26, 25 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose, started off as Scott Taylor, then Scott "Too Hot" Taylor. Darrenhusted (talk) 08:16, 26 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose per Darren. D.M.N. (talk) 15:05, 26 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I thought we were supposed to get rid of quantifiers. Also, Scott Garland (born July 2, 1973) is an American professional wrestler, better known by his ring name, Scotty 2 Hotty. RandySavageFTW (talk) 16:01, 26 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

So? Scotty 2 Hotty is the best known one. And everyone always goes on about how there can't be quantifiers... Yet when I request a move everyone opposes. RandySavageFTW (talk) 00:32, 30 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support Do I need a reason, come on he is widely known as Scotty 2 Hotty.--WillC 17:06, 1 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose per Darrenhusted. Govvy (talk) 16:59, 2 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

We're supposed to get rid of quantifiers, aren't we? RandySavageFTW (talk) 19:00, 2 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

And we're not meant to !vote to establish a consensus, but we are voting so while we are ignoring a rule don't expect us to be strict in the ways we vote. This is a case by case subject. Darrenhusted (talk) 08:17, 3 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

what RandySavageFTW (talk) 17:15, 3 September 2008 (UTC) I can't believe people opposed... It's not his best known name, it has a quantifier, and the quantifier is WRONG (should be wrestler, not professional wrestler). The article even says best known as Scotty 2 Hotty. RandySavageFTW (talk) 17:15, 4 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

 Done

CLASH Wrestling?[edit]

Was it vital that he lost a first round match in a tournament for a backyard-level company in Michigan? I just fail to see its significance, as he's done many indy dates. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.45.211.137 (talk) 16:38, 13 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Theme music[edit]

I haven't changed it myself because I don't have a source, but the first entrance theme listed should be "U Look Fly 2 Day" by O. D. Hunte. It was on a catalog disc called World Wrestling Theme Library. --David7581 (talk) 01:56, 29 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Scott Garland (wrestler)Scotty 2 Hotty – Garland performed as "Scotty 2 Hotty" for over 10 years, during which time he achieved his greatest exposure. Garland is listed as "Scotty 2 Hotty" in the bulk of the source material. A search of the Google news archive returns zero results for "Scott Garland (wrestler)" and over 10 pages of results for "Scotty 2 Hotty". A standard Google search returns 267,000 results for "Scotty 2 Hotty" compared to 96,400 for "Scott Garland (wrestler)". McPhail (talk) 20:10, 11 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support as nominator. Garland left WWE six years ago and hasn't been prominent under another ring name since. He has also used "Scotty 2 Hotty" on a number of occasions since in sporadic returns to WWE. McPhail (talk) 20:13, 11 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support Given all of the information nom has provided, it's hard to argue that Scotty 2 Hotty isn't his common name.LM2000 (talk) 20:31, 11 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per McPhail --HHH Pedrigree (talk) 11:53, 12 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support It's the only name he is known by in wrestling. GaryColemanFan (talk) 04:36, 13 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support clearly best known by this ring name. Also advantage of not needing a parenthetical disambiguator. oknazevad (talk) 20:30, 13 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Somewhat support It's far more a common name than his real one, but I'd rather see it at Scott Taylor (wrestler), as he was for the first ten years. That's always seemed his kayfabe "real" name to me, while Scotty 2 Hotty was a "too cool" nickname derived from it, not Scott Garland. Like how Blackjack Lanza's "real" name was Jack on TV, but John legally. Or how the "The Rock" comes from "Rocky", not "Dwayne". But no huge deal. InedibleHulk (talk) 01:19, 14 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
    • Comment That's true, but he won his 3 titles under the name Scotty 2 Hotty. Also, the last 2 sources about them, TMZ and WWE Where are they now? call him Scotty 2 Hotty. --HHH Pedrigree (talk) 00:24, 15 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, no doubt he had more success as Scotty 2 Hotty, and it happened at a time when WWE and the Internet were big. Scott Taylor was a great jobber, but still just a jobber. If you scan the entertainment headlines of the last few years, though, you'll notice names like J-Lo, A-Rod and Tot mom pop up a lot. Sort of the same deal with Scott Taylor, I think. But like I said, not a big deal. InedibleHulk (talk) 03:14, 15 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Theme song WWF 1997[edit]

What was the name of Taylor's theme song in the WWF in 1997? I heard it beofre some other wrestlers like the Dupps in 2000. --Kingzwest (talk) 4:06, 11 January 11 (UTC)
