That that I have found. As far as I can tell there is no ONE subculture refered to as the scene, but rather the word Scene is itself used to describe different subcultures. I mentioned that a bit in the article Scene (sociology) Corrupt one 02:36, 14 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

hey it didn't occur to me that the scene was a subculture before it became popular! i would speculate that it has origins in rave music becoming too violent/mainstream/whatever so that people who went raves to socialize started to form around the indie/alternative/hardcore music they liked and being ravers that was not music especially palatable to musicians.

but i wouldn't write that in the page because it's just speculation.

Actually, you are wrong. A scene is NOT a larval form of a subculture, although it may cause some to grow and evolve. I put a section up a while back, but it got kicked off. I do not understand why there is no page. And yes, there is a subculture called Scene. I do not understand why it is so difficult for people to understand this. Maybe it is not as well known or "sold out" as emo, but it definitely exists because for one, I am a scene kid. I say, we fight for a page on it. There are pages on emo, punk, mod, and teddy boy subcultures, but not Scene. Scene is an adaption of EMO fashion, but the lifestyle is more original and related to punk or indie than emo itself. And I too have a subpage at User:Graeme Bartlett/sandbox3. When it is up to standard we can put it in article space. The main problem is the reliable sources. The Scene (community) article was deleted twice because it was patent nonsense. This means that a summary of it and a wikilink to it are patent nonsense too and must be deleted. Devil Master (talk) 19:37, 5 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Scenes as a varriation of community of interest[edit]

I tried to add an article called Scenes (sociology) about groups of people who are associated by vague common interests and other things. It is now just a subpage on my User account.
