Community[edit]

Samish Island is not only an island, but also a unincorporated community. That is why it is necessary to have county template in page.--Tomakiv (talk) 16:23, 1 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Is it technically an island?[edit]

The community's webpage is ambiguous on the matter. They refer to themselves as an "island community", but also state: "In the past it was an island, but has been connected to the mainland by a dike since the 1930's." Kpod (talk) 16:31, 25 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
