About Saba Qamar Edits[edit]

Let us consider the following:

Qamar has established a career in Pakistani entertainment industry, and is regarded as the nations most popular and second highest-paid actress.

It has been established that she is a Pakistani actress. It is implied that she is in the entertainment business. This sentence is redundant and the provided references do not corroborate the part of the sentence of being the 2nd highest paid actress.

Qamar continued to appear in supporting roles in the following years, but her claim to fame came in 2007, when she played leading roles in two of the hit dramas, Dhoop Mein Andhera Hai and Jinnah Ke Naam

There is no proof for this statement. There is neither any proof that she became famous in 2007, nor there is any proof that the dramas were hit. If there is proof, provide it with reputable sources.

There is neither any proof that Saba Qamar received any recognition for her work other than an award for Tinkay, not there is any proof all the dramas cited were hit dramas, or they were highest rated dramas. The listed films and serials have been repeated in the filmography. Hence removed.

Qamar established herself as a leading actress of Urdu cinema with the acclaimed films, the biographical drama Manto (2015), the travel comedy Lahore Se Aagey (2016), both of which rank among the highest-grossing Pakistani films of all time.

1 source about Manto being acclaimed is provided. No such proof about Lahore Se Aagey is provided. Hence it is removed.

Looks like? Point the wordings which are fan base and also each and every info is sourced. The maintenance tags are added by experience users not like you and me. Removal of criticism section[edit]

In this edit I removed the criticism section, not because the article should not have criticism, but because it was poorly written and didn't give readers a complete understanding of what the specific criticism was. Phrasing like "she was criticised ... for her dance in Qubool music teaser at Wazir Khan Mosque" is vague. Does that mean that people didn't like that she was at the mosque, or that they didn't like the dance? For interested parties (ones who are not evading previous blocks, because block evaders are not welcome to edit per WP:REVERTBAN) who want to fix this, you should consider a few questions to address and answer:

  • Did filming take place outside or inside or both?
  • Did Qamar have permission to film?
  • What specific objections did people have? Is dancing not allowed in mosques? This mosque in particular?
  • What did Qamar have to say about the issue?

Completely agree that the last four links are anything but reliable sources. At best, they are scraper sites, at worst, they take what anyone sends them.
The first link is interesting though. The url says 34 but the title and text both say 37, probably a typo on the url, especially with the other two sources agreeing on her age.
