Do you have a link to a reliable source with that number? For something like that, even an official site would probably work. Ravensfire (talk) 05:54, 29 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, of course, everyone is aggreeing to it so please update. Thanks. 122.162.50.63 (talk) 07:20, 29 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Please put back the episodes and performances. Thanks.122.162.156.195 (talk) 17:25, 29 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Request[edit]

Please read this request:

  • Please put the performances (Gala round) back since we want it.
  • Please update the episodes also.
  • Please do not remove the gala round content once we put it.
  • Gala Round is a reliable source. It shows performance, song, score, duets performence, elimination, performer of the day or week, shows what all happened in that episode, it is not trivial information so we should put it.

Thank you. 122.161.236.219 (talk) 05:49, 20 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Please report if you want that what should happen in the space here below:

I want to put the gala round performances back. 122.161.233.211 (talk) 15:10, 9 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format. This is the second time you've made the same request. We don't know what "put the gala round performances back" because there is extensive disruption in the article history. You will have to actually specify the text you want to add. That gala round above should be added exactly. 182.68.11.208 (talk) 11:54, 11 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Here was where it was removed because that user thought it trivial but it is not. That was actually like a false positive edit and everyone is agreeing to put it back. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 182.68.11.208 (talk) 12:04, 11 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

As mentioned in the multiple reverts when you tried to add this before, it's unsourced minutia. Ravensfire (talk) 12:33, 11 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Please add the following paragraph to the article:

Winners:

This year the first place was jointly won by Anjali Gaikwad and Shreyan Bhattacharya.

Saregamapa 2017 winner is also Anjali Gaikwad along with Shreyan Bhattacharya. In this edition these were 2 winners. In the table Anjali Gaikwad also has to be added as winner.

Shreyan Bhattacharya is only one winner as top 15. Piyoush (talk) 09:10, 9 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Piyoush: can you provide a reference please? There are two reliable reference in support of the edit. Thanks. --G (talk) 09:12, 9 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I don't understand why this request was tagged as "disruptive", and I see no references that contradict Gbohoadgwwian's claim. I do not know anything about the contest, but the newspaper articles talk about two winners. I don't understand the "top 15" jargon either, as it is not explained anywhere. Please remember that Wikipedia articles are intended for people who know nothing about the subject. --bonadea contributions talk 13:28, 9 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I am sorry to say, but yes it is disruptive. I am getting disturbed over a long time with these requests. I was going to close this discussion to stop this from happening. From top 15, in first audition, Shreyan Bhattacharya is only one winner and the other one is from re-audition and won't be counted as winner. Please understand this point. Piyoush (talk) 07:22, 10 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Denied as Shreyan Bhattacharya is the original winner. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 106.222.0.155 (talk) 03:44, November 10, 2017‎
First, please do not close this discussion as that would be disruptive. Second, Wikipedia articles are based on what reliable sources say, not personal opinions. The ONLY question to consider about this is what do reliable sources say about who won the competition and if they draw any distinctions between multiple winners. Ravensfire (talk) 16:09, 10 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Multiple winners or single winner[edit]

There is currently an edit-war about one or multiple winners. Multiple sources are given in the article and above for multiple winners, no sources have been given for a single winner. Wikipedia goes by what reliable sources say, not an editor's personal preferences. Please, add sources here so they can be reviewed and consensus determined. Ravensfire (talk) 16:33, 27 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

An IP just added [1] as a source for a single winner, except it fails to support that if you actually read the article. Right up at the top is

"Shreyan Bhattacharya lifted the trophy of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’L Champs today along with Anjali Gaikwad". Sorry, supports multiple winners. Ravensfire (talk) 16:56, 27 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Ravensfire: Since the editor does not seem keen to engage in discussion, it may be worth noting that, having never seen or even heard of the show, it seems to have some kind of challenger process, and that one of the winners came into the competition late, with phrases like “While Shreyan had been a part of the show since the beginning, Anjali was a challenger contestant” from here, and similar statements in the other sources. That may be why the editor is objecting, given their phrasing As of top 15, Shreyan Bhattacharya is only the winner and The other one is from re-audition and they won't be counted as contestants on their talk page. It would also explain why the “Top 15” table now has 16 people in it with the other winner, if they came in after the Top 15. Dairy {talk} 09:04, 2 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Dairy501:Yeah, I noticed that as well. If they'd like to add a note or something explaining the situation (with good sources, of course!), I'd not object to a (very) short note that wasn't denigrating or denying them as a winner. We'll see. If this continues, the next step is the edit-war noticeboard as they are clearly in a slow edit-war. Ravensfire (talk) 15:15, 2 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Certainly clarifications is required – also since the table doesn’t mention “Vaishnav Girish”, who is included as a finalist in sources 4 and 5, both reliable publications. He may be another “challenger”. Also, the sources list 6 finalists, and the table lists 8 “runners up”. Dairy {talk} 09:43, 3 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Dairy501:Nope, as they are top 15 and remianed contestants. They are many more challengers but are not included. Aditionally the contestants are top 7 remaining. Marking two more from Runner-up to eliminated is also vandalism. So be cautious. Piyoush (talk) 12:13, 5 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Semi-protected edit request on 1 December 2017[edit]

Again, user named Piyoush has removed Anjali Gaikwad even when strong sources say she is also winner along with Shreyan. Looks like this wiki user has some personal bias against the deserving winner. Pl restore Anjali as winner. Can something be done to stop this vandalism again because this is going on forever with repeat offense! Truegrit15 (talk) 16:48, 1 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Truegrit15:  Done per consensus and the source; Piyoush appears to be making edits that at least four other people are saying are inaccurate. @Piyoush: please stop contentiously editing. Stay here on the talk page to discuss, and try to avoid using terms like "disruptive." CityOfSilver 16:56, 1 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, I will just remove the references. I will leave it to another editor to remove the re-audition winner. Piyoush (talk) 14:13, 2 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

No, that's wrong as well. You don't get to choose who we describe as the winner, WP:NPOV says we go with what the sources describe as the winner, or in this case, winners. Don't remove the sources either. Ravensfire (talk) 15:09, 2 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Discussion[edit]

There are top 15 contestants in first audition and top 7 went to finale. Then they made re-audition and they put challengers and will not be counted as contestants. So, there is only one winner Shreyan Bhattacharya. So please remove the re-audition winner or Challenger. Thanks. Piyoush (talk) 17:53, 6 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Please read WP:NPOV - Wikipedia reflects what reliable sources say, and the sources that have been provided all say that there were multiple winners. Using your interpretation of what should be listed is original research and that's not permitted on Wikipedia. Ravensfire (talk) 17:59, 6 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

As I say that "As of top 15, Shreyan Bhattacharya is only the winner", I have one source to mention - [1], and I also feel that I am wasting too much time on it. To avoid that I will have to do something about it. I also feel that the level is disruptive to be persistent now. Please respond here about these sources here. Thanks. And the first sentence in that exact source is "While Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li'l Champs winners Shreyan Bhattacharya and Anjali Gaikwad are currently enjoying in their hometowns". WINNERS. Plural. You didn't even bother to read it, did you? We're done here. Ravensfire (talk) 21:16, 4 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Contestant names[edit]

There's an edit war happening over how to display names, specifically for the two extra challengers, should the full first name be displayed or just the first initial. This has resulted in the page being semi-protected. Would the IP editors involved mind discussing it here? Ravensfire (talk) 16:19, 1 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. ‑‑ElHef (Meep?) 14:28, 6 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Please remove the "Extra Challengers" section in the "Top 15 Contestants" section because they were challengers, not part of Top 14 + 1 contestants. Also remove Jayas Kumar from "Top 15 Contestants" section because he was a non - competitive contestant and instead add the sentence "* Jayas Kumar, a 5-year-old boy from Delhi is a special non-competitive participant of the show retained only for his entertainment quotient." in the end of that section and rename the section "Top 15 Contestants" to "Top 14 Contestants". Thank you. 117.97.187.204 (talk) 14:36, 7 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want to be made.  Spintendo  15:37, 8 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Humorous request given that this would just about remove one of the show's winners from the article, which is probably the intent. Despite the sources mentioning these extra challengers, they want them removed from all articles. Ravensfire (talk) 15:54, 8 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Top 14 Contestants[edit]

@Ravensfire: Challengers are not counted as conestants so we don't need it in the table plus + it is understood in the top of the page and don't need an extra table. Runner-up is only one and finalists are many, so we should write Finalst instead of Runner-up. I am reveting the edit. 14.63.102.130 (talk) 09:59, 31 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Personal beliefs don't count, only what sources say, and they mention them in the same style as other contestants, plus other articles on similar shows also include additional competitors added after the start. The names are even sourced now, more reason to stay. Ravensfire (talk) 15:29, 3 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
