The "steel curtain"[edit]

Is this a legitimate East Bloc term for Western Europe? Varlaam (talk) 08:42, 22 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Forerunners?[edit]

"The band was among the forerunners of progressive rock" (3rd paragraph) In 1971 when the band (under their previous name) formed, Progressive Rock had been firmly established for around three years. The bands who "fore-ran" Progressive Rock were bands like The Nice, The Pink Floyd, The United States Of America, Clouds and The Beatles. The bands who "were" Progressive Rock were King Crimson, Yes, Emerson lake & Palmer, Genesis, Van Der Graaf Generator, Focus - some of whom had made multiple releases by the time "Nieman" was formed in 71. By the time the SBB actually assumed that name and released an album, they were contemporary with "Brain Salad Surgery", "Tales From Topographic Oceans", "Wish You Were Here" and "Selling England By The Pound". , and a year or more after the releases of "The Dark Side Of The Moon", "Close To The Edge", "Foxtrot" etc.... I therefore submit that to be a forerunner of a movement, it's best to have made a record of that period, some time BEFORE at least 10 classics of the genre have been recorded

However, I am not an Editor. Please sort that out if anyone does that sort of thing and thanks for a decent article. I would have liked to find out more actually. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 146.255.111.109 (talk) 22:59, 6 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
