Lead section[edit]

I tagged the lead section as having extra information that is not included in the body of the article. As MOS:LEAD explains, the lead should introduce and summarize the information included in the body of an article. It should not tease the reader by contain the only source of the most important details of the article, like a newspaper might. While the first sentence is supported by the rest of the article, the remainder of the lead is not discussed in the body of the article, and needs to be, in date order. - Cameron Dewe (talk) 23:28, 2 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Date of birth[edit]

Adding a section to which people can be referred when they try to add a date of birth. There is a date of birth on various not good news sites, but it's unclear where it comes from. Because this article is a biography of a living person, all the information in it must be referenced to reliable sources. All that's in reliable sources is Franke's age at the time of her arrest, which leaves 2 possible birth years. Wikipedia also spells out as a section of the policy on biographies of living people that we must particularly avoid publishing personal information that is not widely published, such as dates of birth. It is not acceptable to use a government database, for example. Until it becomes widely published by good news sources (like the Associated Press, the Washington Post, the BBC, NPR ...) we can't add it just because we've seen it somewhere. Jodi Hildebrant should be included in this page[edit]

I propose this page to be renamed something along the lines of "Conviction of Ruby Franke and Jodi Hildebrant" since both of them are allegedly equally guilty and Jodi H. has allegedly been observed to have abusive behavior before. Here's the information on her license probation. https://jodihildebrandt.com/license-on-probation/ Chocostrawb (talk) 06:16, 29 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Only Franke has been convicted. Delukiel (talk) 04:30, 3 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think this is true – Jodi Hildebrandt pleaded guilty to the charges on December 27, a week before your comment. Because they have both pleaded guilty, I think there might be a basis to rename the article, although I would personally propose just creating a redirect page named "Jodi Hildebrandt" to lead to this Ruby Franke article. Also pinging the original commenter to see their thoughts on the matter - @Chocostrawb, thoughts? Afddiary (talk) 16:19, 16 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I support a redirect from "Jodi Hildebrandt" to this page, and not renaming this page, unless there are lots of sources talking exclusively about Hildebrandt (which I haven't seen); most of the sources I've seen talk about Franke. ---Avatar317(talk) 00:38, 18 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hildebrandt also pleaded guilty. I think it is time to change this title and re-work this article. Kingturtle = (talk) 00:38, 23 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Change Frankie to Franke. Change “…trial, She is due…” to “…trial and she is due…”

Explained edit requests: In sub-section Arrest and charges, the last sentence reads: “Frankie will testify against Hildebrandt in the upcoming trial, She is due to be sentenced on February 20, 2024.[21] [22]” Ruby Franke’s last name should be Franke, not Frankie. Also, the comma between trial and she is incorrect as well as capitalization of She. “…trial and she is due…” would be the best correction. Yurg60Y (talk) 07:25, 19 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

She faces up to 30 years in prison not up to 60 years.

Source is Utah Code 76-3-401 (6) (a) "If a court imposes consecutive sentences, the aggregate maximum of all sentences imposed may not exceed 30 years imprisonment" 2A00:20:D005:B550:7F6F:3C73:C100:A1A (talk) 21:00, 17 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

in the "Career" section, these two sentences: "In 2022, the Frankes separated, and Kevin Franke moved out of the house. Franke deleted the YouTube channel..."

should say "Ruby Franke deleted the YouTube channel", because it currently appears that Kevin Franke would be the antecedent Franke. 207.237.14.175 (talk) 21:01, 20 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Change "She was sentenced up to 60 years in prison on February 20, 2024." to "She was sentenced to serving consecutive sentences on February 20, 2024. The Utah Board of Pardons and Parole will determine the length of her sentences. RachelHoudayer (talk) 22:27, 20 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi you said on the article that she got charged with 4 counts of child abuse and they carry a sentence of between 1 and 15 years, so she could have a sentence of between 4 and 60 years and not what the article says 4 and 30 years thank you taking the time to look at this 2A02:C7C:DA63:9D00:1574:13E2:F27:F5E2 (talk) 19:22, 26 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: Please see the footnote on that line which explains that Utah has a 30 year limit on consecutive sentences:

... the Utah Code dictates that the time served by a defendant upon whom consecutive sentences (except those of life imprisonment or the death penalty) are imposed must not exceed 30 years.

She is not a formal vloger she is a criminal[edit]

I think the first line should reflect her main trait which is a child abuser 78.97.119.17 (talk) 21:50, 2 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
