Wrong illustration[edit]

There are no rotary converters in the photograph captioned "AC to DC plant in Baltimore, Maryland, 1910." The description on Wikimedia Commons is also incorrect. The picture clearly shows a row of 3 in-line compound Corliss steam engines, each with a simple dynamo mounted on the crankshaft just inboard of the flywheel. The valve-gear on the sides of the engines is unmistakable, as is the rectangular format of the cylinder housings. Douglas W. Jones (talk) 14:45, 14 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
