Professional wrestler[edit]

One or more users have attempted to add "professional wrestler" to the article's lead sentence. I am not able to find a single reliable source calling Ron Funches a professional wrestler. He recently announced we would be taking part in a wrestling match on September 17 (a week from this writing). However, this does not warrant the inclusion of that title on the article page, for several reasons:

There are no reliable sources calling him a professional wrestler. I have found a few sources that could be considered reliable saying he will take part in a wrestling match.
Participating in a single wrestling match does not make one a professional wrestler. Funches's professions are acting, stand-up comedy, and writing. If he took part in a bowling tournament once, you wouldn't call him a professional bowler.
The wrestling match has not yet occurred. I have found no reliable sources saying Funches has wrestled in the past. Wikipedia should not define a person's careers by events which are planned to occur in the future.

As this is a biography of a living person, we must take special care of what we put on this page. If you would like to list Funches as a professional wrestler, please provide at least reliable and verifiable source which describes him as one. ~ JDCAce | talk ~ 09:46, 12 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Son(s)?[edit]

There seems to be some ambiguity in the way that this article talks about Funches' son. In the article, it seems that the son born out of his most recent marriage is the child with autism. However, his son with autism is mentioned in an interview with Conan on the 10th of June 2020, in which Funches says that his son is 17 years old. The second son is called Theodore Bear Funches and would be 8 months old based on the article cited. 90.255.51.198 (talk) 12:07, 15 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
