Darlington case[edit]

why isnt there anyhting here or on milliken's page about the darlington case. It was from when milliken shut down a plant in darlington SC that tried to unionize in 1956. The workers went to eh NLRB about it and eventually won under the idea that it was unfair labor practices. Milliken appealed to the supreme court and lost again. Ultimately the company had to pay $5 million in back bay and hire everyone back, but not before milliken tied of the case for 20 years or so and 1/5 of the workers involved had already died. it is pretty important in the scheme of things, because he managed to keep the company non-union, and probably helped inspire the same sort of practices out of Sam Walton and Wal-Mart. this article reads like a love letter. textile workers union V. Greenville-Spartanburg airport[edit]

I've always been told that Roger Milliken financed the luxurious, state-of-the-art Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport, which is also named for him (Roger Milliken Field). Does anyone want to research this and add it to the article? Softlavender (talk) 11:25, 12 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Milliken's contributions to Pat Buchanan's 2000 campaign[edit]

I searched http://www.opensecrets.org/indivs/index.php?capcode=ft87f&name=&state=&zip=&employ=&cand= which is inline citation 5, for verification of the WP article's statement that Milliken's campaign contributions provided much of the money for Pat Buchanan's 2000 run, but Openscrets search gives zero returns for the various searches I did. [Somewhere on OpenSecrets it advises to enable cookies which I did.]
