Possible ambiguity[edit]

Is this the same Roberto Gerhard of Catalan that was briefly an exile in 1949?

If he is that same individual, why was he an exile from Catalan, and how did he earn a living between 1949 and 1951? 216.99.201.10 (talk) 04:23, 29 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, am I on the wrong Vikipedia?[edit]

On 27 February 2012, the title of this article was changed by User:Deskford from "Robert Gerhard" to "Roberto Gerhard", with the edit summary "This is the name by which the composer is predominantly known". I see that, today, this change to the usual form of his name outside of Catalonia has been reverted, but I fail to find the expected discussion and change of consensus here on the talk page. The usual rule on English Wikipedia is that the form of name most commonly used in English sources is the one that should be adopted. I am not aware that this policy has been changed recently, and I notice that Pablo Casals has not been changed (at least, not yet) to "Pau Casals".—Jerome Kohl (talk) 19:39, 9 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
