Rewrite[edit]

Update: I have re-written this page with information from additional sources. I have requested a photo of Robert Emden but have not received it yet. If anybody has anything else to add to this page please let me know. IMPORTANT NOTE: Citation 8 regarding the naming of Emden crater on the moon is intermittently faulty and should be archived, if possible.
