NPOV[edit]

This reads like an ad for Smolens projects and should be edited. I like his work, but this isn't appropriate. Daveberstein 22:56, 26 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Be bold, go for it. TheMindsEye 00:33, 27 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Three years later and nothing has changed. I tagged the article 'NPOV-Language'. My English isn't good enought to rewrite it myself, sorry. 109.178.58.246 (talk) 20:56, 13 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, I've been bold. Removed all the over-enthusiastic Ad Speak and unwanted external links (Amazon, YouTube, etc). 109.178.93.18 (talk) 13:12, 19 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Hey, when I edited this last year I for some reason did not look at the talk page. When I began editing this, a mod contacted me saying that most of the article had been plagiarized from Smolan's personal website, so I rewrote it using more external sources, trying to make it impartial and biographical. However, I see now it's been tagged for three wikipedia projects: living biographies, american history, and photography. So, as a sorta newb to wikipeida article writing, I'm not sure how to proceed Toasterlyreasons— Preceding unsigned comment added by Toasterlyreasons (talkcontribs) 04:21, 23 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

A man with no early career?[edit]

I have just watched the film Tracks which features Smolan in fiction, as well as his photos from around 1977. It was with interest I looked up this article which aside from saying he graduated in the early 70s next has him working in the late 1990's early 00's.

This article needs a lot of back-story. I am not the one to provide it as I know next to nothing of this man's works. But surely he did something before "Day in the Life"???
