Reverie (Tinashe album)Reverie (Tinashe mixtape) – Or simply Reverie (mixtape) as it already redirects here and there are no other mixtapes. "Other albums" is not a reason to reclassify it from mixtape to studio album whereas the references given agree it is a mixtape. --Relisted. • Oppose removal of artist name In ictu oculi (talk) 15:55, 28 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
    • After further thought Oppose also (mixtape) - this is an album, like most if not all mixtapes. See Category:2012 mixtape albums. In ictu oculi (talk) 01:35, 29 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
      • I didn't say it is not an album, I said it is not a full/studio album to classify it as such. All:, studio albums, EPs, remixes, greatest hits, collections and video albums are albums, the thing is we classify them as the things they are. We aren't removing the terms "EP" nor "Video" from the disambiguators, which would be the reason to remove "Mixtape"? Per this discussion it basically reached the point we don't disambiguate EPs as albums as long as there is enough evidence that that EP is an EP. A new discussion about mixtapes would end up in the same. To be a full studio album/Long play Reverie had to be "recorded in a recording studio", a mixtape, like this, had to include "any compilation of songs recorded onto any audio format". Citing Category:2012 mixtape albums only gives a stronger reason to move it, as all the albums that include "(album)" are redirects, and the only non-redirects are 1) Russian Roulette (The Alchemist album), where nowhere in it says it is a mixtape, and 2) Be Careful (album), which was created as an studio album, and therefore is misclassified as such now. If you consider the terms "(video)", "(EP)" and "(mixtape)" are to be transformed to a generic "(album)", it must be requested at WP:NCM, not here. © Tbhotch (en-2.5). 02:25, 29 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
So you agree it is an album? What do we disagree on? Then per Wikipedia:Naming conventions (music) since Reverie (Joe Henry album) and Reverie (Rafael Anton Irisarri album) exist it has to be at Reverie (Tinashe album). Yes of course some mixtapes can in fact be EPs (or even singles). But this isn't an EP, Total length: 42:22 clearly indicates an album, and therefore whether Reverie (Tinashe album) redirects to Reverie (Tinashe mixtape) or vice-versa (which should be decided on a case by case basis according to sources and really doesn't much matter), the important thing is that Wikipedia:Naming conventions (music) should still be followed. I'm not saying it is an EP. I'm saying that if you remove "(mixtape)" from the title, you should also start to remove "(EP)" from the other pages as well, because EPs are also albums. Nowhere in NCM gives you the right to remove "(mixtape)" and transform it into "(album)" solely because mixtapes are albums. That is what you are not understanding. © Tbhotch (en-2.5). 16:25, 30 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose Not everyone agrees that EPs are technically albums (there are singles, EPs, and albums, typically defined by number of tracks and/or overall length). There is no similar debate regarding mixtapes. --StarcheerspeaksnewslostwarsTalk to me 20:56, 17 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
