Bias?[edit]

While I'm sure retreads are great and all, it is a little concerning that we have a set of video links all from the same site. Some third-party sourcing would be nice. GreenReaper (talk) 02:23, 10 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Retreads weren't limited to the Army during World War II. It was also the Navy and Marine Corps that brought retired and discharged officers and non-coms back to service, and it also happened during Korea and Vietnam. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rivermikerat (talkcontribs) 05:48, 11 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I agree that these videos portray things from the retreading trade association, and I removed them and added solid book references and built the article up a bit.

Overall manufacturing cost and applications in passenger cars[edit]

I currently have material cost data, but no information on overall cost. Can someone build on the cost comparison on overall manufacturing cost vs a new one? Cantaloupe2 (talk) 03:00, 3 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Safety[edit]

Since failed retreads are sometimes seen littering highways in large chunks, a discussion of safety centered around motorists running into these things might be appropriate. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.203.216.11 (talk) 15:59, 5 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
