Citations?[edit]

I'd like to see some source citations on this article. There doesn't appear to be anything at all that could verify any of this information. I don't know much on the subject of the Red Curtain Trilogy, but I'll try and get some reliable sources for this. Also, I don't think that phrases like "The costumes, music, sets and script are all rich, sumptuous and intricate" are appropriate for a wiki article. Zeke (talk) 15:04, 15 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I agree; to that end I've added a few citations, at least to source the use of the term to refer to Baz Luhrmann's early style if nothing else. I haven't touched the "Characteristics and Hallmarks" section, though, which seems much more difficult to cite appropriately. The only information I could find is a Baz Luhrmann quote on his IMDB page which discusses this style a little bit, but that hardly seems like an appropriate source to include in the reference list. I suspect that much of the information on this page is drawn from the extra features on the "Red Curtain Trilogy" DVD that I cited in the article, but not having this DVD myself I can't follow up on this. I would suggest that someone who has the DVD should go through and replace the "Characteristics and Hallmarks" section with a better summary of what Baz Luhrmann describes as being the "Red Curtain" style, and then cite the interview/commentary/DVD appropriately. I've removed this section. a year or two on, no attempt has been made to improve, and it is mostly just synthesis. --Rob Sinden (talk) 12:50, 22 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
