April 2012[edit]

There are changes happening at Reading TMD. Some track has been lifted, probably in preparation for construction of a flyover at Reading. Can anyone expand on this? Biscuittin (talk) 13:17, 3 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

See 21st Century modernisation of the Great Western Main Line also Reading railway station#Future. --Redrose64 (talk) 14:33, 3 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Water towers[edit]

This edit mentions the GWR water towers, and says "fate unknown". IIRC they were sold to one or two preservation societies (not Didcot), at zero price provided that the buyer(s) arranged for transportation. Need a source, obviously. Other points: the phrase "although no conductor wires are as of yet installed", besided being grammatically poor, is incorrect: there were certainly conductor wires up within the depot on 22 March 2014. Do we need to mention Reading Festival? Might it be better to say that it is adjacent to Little John's Farm? --Redrose64 (talk) 17:14, 21 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
