Adding a name to the list of people titled Rai Saheb[edit]

I want help to understand the procedures of adding my great grandfather’s name, Rai Saheb Visaji Mistry’s 117.242.98.25 (talk) 18:22, 8 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Why my great grandfather name is not showing[edit]

Why i cannot see my great grandfather name in the list ? I have added all the deatils but still it is missing can anyone please tell me about this ? I have the original SANAD which was given by the then Viceroy of INDIA (as a proof) 1.186.197.28 (talk) 19:35, 25 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

If you don't add a new item to the list properly, the item will be removed from the list. You did not add your great-grandfather's name properly. Result: his name was removed from the list. "Someone on the Internet claims that he has his great-grandfather's SANAD" is not proof, because - and this might surprise you - humans have been known to lie. If you cannot point to any published sources to support your statement about your great-grandfather, then your great-grandfather cannot be on the list. DS (talk) 05:22, 26 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Rai Sahib[edit]

My grandmother’s father’s name is Rai Sahib Babu Angom Choudhury Singh. He belongs to Bishnupriya Manipuri community. He was a police officer under the British government, hailing from village Patharkandi, District Karimganj, Assam. He was awarded the title and badge on 1st January 1935. The medal is with me. I can send you images if required. Kindly update his name in the list.. Kallol2411 (talk) 04:29, 25 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Kallol2411: You need to have a WP:Independent third party reliable source mentioning that the person was bestowed with the title. An image isn't a reliable source. Regards. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 12:20, 25 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
