Meaning of the station's name?[edit]

The article gives no explanation as to the number 1212 in the station's name. Assuming there's no connection with the date December 12, or December 1912, the most likely explanation seems to be that the station's wavelength was 1212 metres, which would correspond to a frequency of approximately 248 kHz longwave.
