Unverified claims should be noted and/or removed[edit]

There is some obvious astroturfing going here to paint the R-330Zh as more capable and effective than it actually is, for example: citation 16 "Russia To Install Powerful Electronic Warfare System To Defend Its Warships From Drone & Missile Attacks" from The Eurasian Times is used to claim the R-330Zh was able to jam E-3 Sentry and E-2 Hawkeye planes. However, the article says only that the system was "aimed at jamming the long distances radar signals of the US Air Force’s AWACS E-3 Sentry and AEW E-2 Hawkeye..." not that it actually happened, and sources its reporting from "sources within the Russian military, cited by Izvestia", as well as "Dr. Thomas Withington" who is found as a contributing writer to Armada International, another publication.

So we have 3rd-hand reporting based on one extremely unreliable source and two other potentially unreliable sources not supporting the claim made. Additionally, the E-3 and E-2 use the AN/APY-* radar system which can't be jammed by the referenced abilities of the R-330Zh.

Similarly, citation 10 does not support the claim that the R-330Zh was suspected in recent signal anomalys, only that such a system is operated by the Russians, and that earlier outages had been traced to a large-scale military exercise in 2017, but never singles out the R-330Zh as the cause.

All of the citations is in the article should be reviewed carefully; it looks like an attempt to portray the R-300Zh as more powerful, useul, and consequential that it actually is. 74.104.130.145 (talk) 23:47, 22 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
