This article includes more than its fair share of examples from an unrelated topic - namely, debates between Creationists and Evolutionists. While quoting our of context may come up regularly in that arena, by no means is this fallacy restricted to a particular class of argumentation. I suggest that a broader range of examples be included, and that examples from another topic be limited to only one or two citations. This article should avoid the bleed over from other subject matter and focus primarily on the logical fallacy at hand. 99.49.23.85 (talk) 23:34, 11 February 2010 (UTC)

Totally agree, quoting out of text is a very common fallacy. Yes, it is widespread in creation vs evolution, but I don't understand why it has its own section. It is just as widespread in political discussions, religions, and in a lot of places. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.98.252.180 (talk) 10:10, 20 March 2014 (UTC)
