I'll take this one for review, and starting to expand my scope from strictly film and TV articles to assess character-specific ones as well. I should get back to you with some thoughts soon. - adamstom97 (talk) 23:12, 15 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry for the delay. Here are my thoughts on initial things that should be improved for the article to be promoted to GA:

  • The caption in the infobox doesn't need to repeat that he is a Shrek character.
  • I am generally against the term "fictional character", and would note that the Wikipedia article of that name has actually been redirected to the much better "character".
  • Is there a better way of indicating who has voiced the character when than having all of the film names in parentheses like that?
  • Are there more details about the TV series and the characters development in it, etc. The article almost completely ignores it.

Other than those, I would recommend that a request be put in for this article to be copy-edited at Wikipedia:WikiProject Guild of Copy Editors/Requests, as I feel like the writing in general could do with a bit of improvement to get up to GA standard. Having a third party go through the content wouldn't hurt either. Let me know how you get on with these and if you have any questions. - adamstom97 (talk) 06:33, 22 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Adamstom.97: Hello and thank you for providing the review! First of all, I deeply apologise for the delayed reply. Second, I have been trying the last few days to address the comments listed above. I rephrased Puss's description from the infobox, removed the word "fictional", and tried to make the "Voiced by" part from the infobox more easily readable. I also added information regarding Puss's development and characterisation in The Adventures of Puss in Boots based on interviews with the executive producer of the TV series, Doug Langdale. I added information regarding Eric Bauza, Puss's voice actor in the series, as well. Besides these, I will of course place a request for this article to be copy-edited if this is a requirement for obtaining the GA status. However, it might take a while for the request to be completed. Flowerpiep (talk) 13:51, 31 July 2018 (UTC)Flowerpiep[reply]

I am happy to leave the review on hold until the copy-edit is complete, as the article is close to GA status in my opinion and a pass by a copy-editor would hopefully get it over the line. - adamstom97 (talk) 21:38, 31 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Adamstom.97: Okay! I placed the request. I hope a copy-editor will start looking over the article soon. Flowerpiep (talk) 22:06, 31 July 2018 (UTC)Flowerpiep[reply]

Thank you to @Miniapolis for the copy-edit of the article! @Flowerpiep can you check over the article now and ensure that the fix-ups you previously made have been retained? When you are happy with the state of the article, I will take another look at it. - adamstom97 (talk) 03:54, 20 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Adamstom.97: Of course, I have just finished looking over the article and making some edits. The fix-ups mentioned above have been maintained. Flowerpiep (talk) 14:10, 21 August 2018 (UTC)Flowerpiep[reply]
Good work, I am now happy to pass this review. - adamstom97 (talk) 21:56, 21 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
