Mageddon[edit]

Unless I missed something, the article doesn't mention the Justice League uses it, in the Morrison/Porter Justice League WW3 storyline, Captain Atom is taken to it after getting hit in the face with a Sidewinder missile. Lots42 (talk) 12:56, 11 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Isn't there significant historical basis for this item in the real universe? It is perhaps less known today but back in the nineteen twenties and thirties devices were marketed that produced an electromagnetic charge within a glass wand containing a gas that glowed purple that was used for healing wounds and joint pain.
