Merge proposal[edit]

I just noticed that there are two articles, with almost identical titles, covering the Prosopography of Anglo Saxon England. Merger seems obvious.

The Prosopography of Anglo-Saxon England (PASE) article is longer, heavier on administrative detail, is categorized with an English focus, and is part of Wiki Project England.

The Prosopography of Anglo-Saxon England article focuses more on the content of the database, is categorized based on the project's academic bases, and is part of Wiki Project Middle Ages.

Of the two titles, I prefer the shorter one. I plan to copy have copied the relevant material into the Prosopography of Anglo-Saxon England as a first step towards the merger.

I'd welcome comments before finally implementing the merger. --SteveMcCluskey (talk) 20:51, 11 August 2009 (UTC). edited 21:03, 11 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Let me add that many more pages link to the short title, Prospography of Anglo-Saxon England than link to the long title, Prosopography of Anglo-Saxon England (PASE). --SteveMcCluskey (talk) 00:15, 12 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
