Outdated[edit]

This article is out-dated: The FWA mentioned as the most notable current promotion no longer exists. Improvements[edit]

Did some improvements to the later section of the article some months ago. The FWA as most notable promtion strikes me as very POV. Old school promotions such as Premier especially and to a fair extent All Star still do a lot of the traditional British style of technical wrestling. Welsh Wrestling[edit]

The section on wrestling in Wales reads like an advert for one particular promotion and its owner, and references an event from 13 years ago for seemingly no reason. Looking through the edit history, it appears to have been written by someone from the promotion in question and strikes me as a violation of WP:SOAP and WP:NOR. I think a rewrite is in order, but lack the subject knowledge to do so myself. —Zoey (talk) 01:19, 17 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Channel 5[edit]

CeltBrowne, possibly you are not British yourself and therefore not aware of this, but Channel 5 (British TV channel) is one of the five "traditional" (pre-digital analogue terrestrial) TV channels in the UK and therefore any wrestling getting a berth on there is a prestigious outlet for that promotion and worth a mention in the article (see also WCW's run on the channel 1999-2001) Even after the analogue switchoff in the early 2010s, it is still as big a deal as a wrestling show on ITV1 or Channel 4 or even BBC1 or BBC2. It's certainly at least as big a deal as graveyard slot runs of WCW 1990-1992.
And no, I'm not a fan of Channel 5 at all (most of its output is garbae) but it IS considered a mainstream national TV channel on par with BBC1&2, ITV1 and CH4 here in the UK Romomusicfan (talk) 10:27, 13 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
