The proper name of the parish is according to VoB, Prestwich. Morwen 09:21, 3 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Youngs has it as Prestwich too. Lozleader 09:40, 3 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Census returns from the mid 19th century show Prestwich-cum-Oldham,[1] as does the bottom of the Prestwich guide. Some other websites also use Prestwich-cum-Oldham [2] (just google). It is also known as Prestwich-with-Oldham however.

Additionally, the source provided for the Hundred of Salford article (of which this parish forms) also states the parish was named Prestwich-cum-Oldham.

And finally, the same name is used as the bottom of this historic map. Hope that can add weight to prove otherwise. Jhamez84 17:02, 25 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
