I'm sorry, but I would be failing the article as it doesn't comply with the GA criteria. Still, I would leave many comments, as you or any other editor planning to improve the article may address these comments in the future. Firstly, you have made no edit to this article, hence you have no authorship.The GA instructions state that "Nominators who are not significant contributors to the article should consult regular editors of the article on the article talk page prior to a nomination."
I don't see any message on talk page, but that's completely fine as anyone can nominate the article. Secondly, I also don't see the issues from the previous review being addressed/resolved. - Infobox
- Please see WP:SMALLTEXT and avoid using small text in Infobox.
- There is a citation needed tag; a reliable citation is needed.
- Lead
- The lead of the article is short in contrast with the article's length (33,531 characters). Per MOS:LEADLENGTH, the articles longer than 30,000 characters should have 3-4 paragraphs in lede. (All paragraphs in the lead are just 2-3 lines, which need to be expanded)
- The first line of lead is quite repetitive. I will bold the repetitive words.
"The President of India (IAST: Bhārat ke Rāṣṭrapati), officially the President of the Republic of India, is the ceremonial head of state of India and the commander-in-chief of the Indian Armed Forces."
Maybe the phrase about the president being commander-in-chief could be a separate line.
- Origin
- I would rather suggest Independence Day (India) to be linked to some other word than 15 August 1947.
- Most of the second paragraph is un-sourced.
"The president is the foremost, most empowered and prompt defender of the constitution" (Article 60)
– Not quite true. Article 60 of Indian constitution just states the Chief Justice of India would administer oath to the President (and the wording of the oath).
- Powers and duties
- No citations in the entire sub-section
"Hence, declining the PM's advice......."
– Spell prime minister"Only the judiciary has the power to convert any death sentence (rarest) to life imprisonment."
– definitely requires a citation.- It breaks the flow when Articles of the constitution are written in the parenthesis. Hopefully, something better can be done.
- According to the "Duty" subsection, the only primary duties of the president is to "preserve, protect and defend the Constitution", which I think should not be the case.
"The promulgated ordinance is treated as an act of parliament when in force and it is the responsibility of the president to withdraw the ordinance as soon as the reasons for promulgation of the ordinance are no longer applicable."
– Split in two sentences. Also, this seems bit of a jargon.- I don't feel that "indiankanoon.org" should be a reliable source.
"The primary duty of the president is to preserve, protect and defend the constitution and the law of India per Article 60. The president appoints the......."
– Why is this repeated in the "Judicial powers" section when it is already mentioned in the "Duty" section?" majority in the Lok Sabha (usually the leader of the majority party or coalition). the president ..."
– Capitalize The (after full stop)."The president may nominate not more than two members of Anglo Indian community as Lok Sabha members per Article 331"
– The Anglo-Indian reservation was removed back in January 2020. Source The information is now outdated.- Why is the prose used as bulleted list in the "Financial powers" section.
- In the "Diplomatic powers" section, add a paragraph or two about President's foreign visits.
- The "Military powers" section definitely needs expansion.
- Try to add page numbers where [Page needed] tags exist.
- Too much background about emergency, much of which is not related to the president.
- Selection process
- What's the need of "Eligibility" subsection, when there are no other subsections?
- Why are "Article 57" and "[Article 59(1)]" used in bold-phase?
- Various sentences need citation, especially president's eligibility.
- Time of election
- No citations in the first paragraph.
"The security deposit is liable to be forfeited in case the candidate fails to secure one-sixth of the votes polled."
– Definitely requires citation."The actual calculation for .......... representatives of the parliament."
paragraph doesn't explains the election process easily. Although I know that it is a bit complicated process, it could be explained better.
- Emoluments

– It seems too odd to link Rupee symbol."However, almost everything that the president does or wants to do is taken care of by an annual ₹225 million (equivalent to ₹500 million or US$7.1 million in 2019) budget that the Government allots for his or her upkeep."
– Seems a bit informal.- Lacks various citations.
- Impeachment
- Again, some paragraphs are completely un-cited.
- Needs copyediting.
- Again, we can't simplify the process, but we can write it in much simpler form.
- Succession

– Maybe reverts is a wrong word."When a vice-president discharges the duties of the president, he/she does not function as the Chairperson of the Rajya Sabha."

- I don't feel any use of comparison table, which does not help the reader. Some differences have already been mentioned in the prose. I would suggest to remove the table and compare them in a paragraph. Also, "versus" doesn't seem fine to use. Also, the table lacks citations.
- Important presidential interventions in the past
- Maybe all those 1-2 lined paragraphs could be combined.
- Copy-editing required.
- Living former presidents
- Nothing much to say here.
- Image review
- What makes "Ram Nath Kovind official portrait, 2017.jpg" in free to use, especially when it is nominated for deletion? The source states
"This contents of this website may not be reproduced partially or fully, without due permission from The President of India"

Final assessment[edit]
I am going ahead and failing this nomination. Currently, the article requires significant work to meet the GA criteria. I would suggest you, or any other willing editor to resolve the mentioned issues and before re-nominating, follow the following process–
- Expansion — Add more the various other points mentioned in this review. The article lacks significant information on people who have been the president. And please add various other scholarly research as citations.
- Copy-editing — Request WP:GOCE/REQ to copy-edit this article. (Note that you need to be a significant contributor to request for copy-editing)
- Peer Review — Request for peer review of this artile at WP:PR.
It is a really important article, and the work yet done in appreciable, but a some more hard work would bring this article to GA status.
