PrecisionistPrecisionist (racehorse) – "Precisionist" ought to redirect to precisionism. The horse is not the primary meaning. Srnec (talk) 00:05, 9 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Survey[edit]

Feel free to state your position on the renaming proposal by beginning a new line in this section with *'''Support''' or *'''Oppose''', then sign your comment with ~~~~. Since polling is not a substitute for discussion, please explain your reasons, taking into account Wikipedia's policy on article titles.
  • Oppose: Just create a hatnote; no need to create a redirect and completely rename an article. But if you insist, at least do it right, the proper format for horse articles is Precisionist (horse) unless we have articles on more than one horse named Precisionist. Montanabw(talk) 04:16, 14 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support Precisionist (horse). On Google Books, Precisionist art returns 7x the hits for Precisionist horse. This combined with the page views and incoming links suggests that the art movement is the primary topic of "Precisionist". As Montanabw says, "(horse)" seems to be the preferred disambiguator.--Cúchullain t/c 14:29, 16 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
