Village Population[edit]

Under the section Churches it stated the village population was c.3,500. I have revised the estimate downwards to 3,000 because in the 2011 Census the population of the entire civil parish (including many outlying hamlets) was given as 3,227. However, I suspect my estimate might be still too high, depending on the number of households outside the main village. Over to anyone who can put a more precise figure than me.Cloptonson (talk) 10:16, 29 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Sentence 'retired'[edit]

I have decided to retire this sentence from the page during the duration of the restrictions caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, which saw Church of England worship places closed to the public, and to avoid giving encouragement to travelers:

'St George's is open to all during daylight hours, but is closed at night.'

One cannot predict when or how or if the same will apply in post pandemic conditions.Cloptonson (talk) 19:41, 28 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
